Once every season, eight participants join with the Callanish team for a life-changing week. Each season brings its own sensual delights. In winter, all are welcomed indoors by the crackle of the vast wood-burning fireplace, wafts of hearty soups and fresh baked bread, and the gently falling snow outside. In Spring, the bursting creek rushes by banks of daffodils and blue hyacinths, hummingbirds compete for sweet nectar at the feeders, and fresh salads are topped with sprouted greens from the hydroponic growing dome. The quiet, comfort and beauty of the inside spaces provide a sanctuary in which to rest deeply and heal. You will find a glimpse of the retreat experience in the Callanish film "I’m Still Here."
"There has been a change in me, a peace and calm that I do not believe I would have arrived at, without you all."

The retreat is a five-night experience of immersion into personal reflection and community engagement—emerging with a renewed connection with life. Participants experience a foundational shift towards inner peace and happiness, a new perspective that carries them forward.
For years now, our retreats have been held at the beautiful mountain lodge and acreage of the Brew Creek Centre. Participants all have their own bedrooms, with private or shared bathrooms.
All eight participants are adults diagnosed with cancer. Retreats are run by a compassionate team of professionals, all with extensive experience supporting people with cancer.
Anyone is welcome to apply to come on retreat at any stage of cancer, provided they can care for themselves independently.
Retreats are held once per season (every three months).
